Key Points:

  • Bybit Pay has integrated with Mesh, allowing users to spend digital assets directly from their Bybit balances without first transferring funds to another platform.
  • Businesses using Mesh can add Bybit Pay as a payment option through their existing integration, potentially gaining access to Bybit’s claimed 80 million users.
  • The partnership expands Mesh’s crypto payments network, which connects more than 300 wallets, exchanges and financial services platforms.

Bybit Pay Adds Direct Crypto Spending

Bybit Pay, the payments division of cryptocurrency exchange Bybit, has integrated with crypto payments infrastructure provider Mesh as exchanges increasingly seek to make digital assets usable across everyday payment and financial applications.

The integration allows Bybit users to select Bybit Pay when checking out or funding an account on supported Mesh-powered platforms. Users can pay directly from their Bybit balances without first withdrawing assets or manually transferring them to another wallet or exchange.

The model is designed to reduce friction between holding cryptocurrency on an exchange and using those assets across external services. Instead of requiring users to move funds before completing a payment, the integration connects their existing Bybit balances to participating platforms through Mesh’s infrastructure.

Businesses Gain Access to Bybit Users

For businesses already connected to Mesh, adding Bybit Pay does not require a separate integration, according to the companies.

The arrangement gives participating merchants and platforms an additional crypto payment option while potentially expanding their reach to Bybit’s claimed 80 million users.

Bybit also said the integration supports programmable settlement options. These tools allow businesses to determine how and when payments are settled across different markets, potentially providing greater flexibility for cross-border transactions and operational cash management.

The development reflects a broader shift in crypto payments away from simple wallet transfers toward infrastructure designed to connect exchanges, merchants and financial applications.

Mesh Builds a Multi-Platform Payments Network

Mesh operates as an interoperability layer connecting different digital-asset services. The company said its network now links more than 300 wallets, exchanges and financial services platforms.

That connectivity is important because fragmented liquidity and incompatible platforms have historically created additional steps for cryptocurrency users. By connecting participating services, Mesh aims to make assets held on one platform usable across another without requiring users to manually manage multiple transfers.

The Bybit integration adds one of the industry’s larger crypto exchanges to that network and potentially increases the number of users who can access participating services directly from their exchange balances.

Mesh Reaches $1 Billion Valuation

The integration follows a significant financing milestone for Mesh.

In January, the company raised $75 million in a Series C round led by Dragonfly, bringing its valuation to $1 billion and taking total funding above $200 million.

At the time, Mesh said it planned to expand its operations across Latin America, Asia and Europe. Those markets represent important opportunities for crypto payment infrastructure, particularly where digital assets and stablecoins are increasingly being incorporated into cross-border payments and financial services.

The latest Bybit partnership provides another route for Mesh to expand its network while demonstrating how exchange balances can increasingly function as payment accounts rather than remaining isolated within trading platforms.

Outlook

The Bybit Pay-Mesh integration highlights the growing effort to turn cryptocurrency exchange balances into directly spendable digital assets. Removing the need for users to manually withdraw or transfer funds could improve the payment experience, while programmable settlement gives businesses additional flexibility across markets. As more exchanges and financial platforms connect through payment infrastructure such as Mesh, interoperability could become an increasingly important factor in the broader adoption of crypto-based payments.
