Australian digital asset brokerage Caleb & Brown has expanded its operations into the United Kingdom, extending its wealth-focused cryptocurrency services beyond Australia and the United States.
The expansion comes roughly a year after the company was acquired by Swyftx Group in a transaction valued at more than $100 million, strengthening the group’s presence in institutional and high-net-worth digital asset markets.
The brokerage plans to focus exclusively on affluent investors seeking personalized cryptocurrency investment services rather than mass-market trading platforms.
Unlike traditional cryptocurrency exchanges that primarily serve retail traders through self-service platforms, Caleb & Brown offers a concierge-style brokerage model tailored to high-net-worth individuals.
The company believes many wealthy investors prefer personalized execution, investment guidance and dedicated client support when entering the digital asset market.
By emphasizing relationship-based services, Caleb & Brown aims to differentiate itself from conventional retail exchanges operating in the UK.
Swyftx Group Co-Chief Executive Officer Andrea Yuen described the United Kingdom as a significant growth opportunity due to comparatively lower cryptocurrency participation than other major markets.
According to Yuen, investment in Bitcoin and other digital assets remains substantially lower in the UK than in countries such as the United States, Australia and parts of Asia.
She said this gap presents an opportunity to expand cryptocurrency adoption among affluent investors as the market continues to mature.
Despite London’s reputation as one of the world’s leading financial centers, cryptocurrency adoption has lagged several other jurisdictions.
According to Chainalysis’ 2025 Global Crypto Adoption Index, the United Kingdom ranks 11th globally, behind countries including Russia, the Philippines and Ukraine.
Meanwhile, the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) reported that approximately 8% of UK residents own cryptocurrency. Although overall ownership declined from the previous year, the average value held by crypto investors increased, suggesting deeper participation among existing holders.
Yuen said the country’s sophisticated financial sector remains underserved by private client digital asset services.
Rather than competing on trading fees or retail volume, Caleb & Brown intends to position itself as a specialist brokerage focused on tailored execution and client relationships.
The company believes that personalized investment support is particularly attractive to investors accustomed to traditional private banking and wealth management services.
This strategy reflects a broader trend in the cryptocurrency industry as firms increasingly develop institutional-grade and wealth-focused offerings alongside retail trading platforms.
Caleb & Brown’s expansion into the United Kingdom highlights the growing demand for professional digital asset services aimed at high-net-worth investors. As cryptocurrency adoption continues to evolve within traditional financial markets, firms offering personalized brokerage, advisory services and institutional-grade execution may find increasing opportunities in established wealth management centers such as London.
