DoubleZero, a high-speed data distribution network, is expanding its prediction-market coverage by adding real-time data from Kalshi’s election and political contracts.
The integration brings Kalshi’s election markets to DoubleZero Edge, a market-data platform that already distributes information from Kalshi’s sports markets and crypto perpetual futures.
The expansion comes as political prediction markets attract increasing trading activity ahead of the US midterm elections scheduled for November.
For institutional and automated traders, faster access to political-market data can provide another input for monitoring shifts in market-implied expectations around election outcomes.
DoubleZero Edge will distribute several categories of Kalshi market information, including top-of-book quotes, trade data and aggregated order book information.
The expanded feed is designed to make prediction-market data easier to integrate into institutional trading systems and automated workflows.
Andy Ross, Kalshi’s head of institutional, said the integration is intended to improve access to political market information as expectations surrounding election outcomes change.
The development reflects the growing convergence between traditional financial-market infrastructure and prediction markets, where continuously updated contract prices can function as indicators of market sentiment around political events.
Trading activity around the 2026 US midterms has already exceeded levels seen during the previous congressional election cycle.
Data from the Anti-Corruption Data Collective showed that betting on the 2026 midterms had reached $133 million as of Aug. 10. That figure was already substantially higher than the $92.4 million wagered across the entire 2024 congressional election cycle.
The growth underscores the increasing role prediction markets are playing in political-event speculation, particularly as election-related contracts become more accessible to retail, institutional and automated traders.
One Kalshi market focused on which party will control the US House had generated more than $35 million in trading volume at the time of reporting. The market was pricing an 84% probability of a Democratic victory.
Such probabilities are market-implied expectations rather than guarantees of electoral outcomes, with prices capable of changing rapidly as new polling, political developments and other information enter the market.
The integration also illustrates how prediction markets are evolving beyond standalone platforms into sources of structured real-time information.
By distributing order book and trade data through dedicated market-data infrastructure, Kalshi contracts can become easier for institutions to incorporate into quantitative models, monitoring systems and automated strategies.
For DoubleZero, adding political markets broadens the range of event-driven information available through Edge. For Kalshi, wider institutional data access could increase the visibility and utility of its contracts as the US election cycle intensifies.
The expansion of DoubleZero’s Kalshi data coverage comes as prediction-market activity reaches new highs ahead of the US midterms. Greater institutional access to real-time political pricing could further integrate election markets into professional trading workflows and increase the speed at which market participants respond to political developments. With election volumes already surpassing the entire 2024 congressional cycle, political prediction markets are emerging as an increasingly significant source of event-driven market data.
