Key Points

  • Stablecoin infrastructure company HIFI raised $37 million in a Series A round led by Left Lane Capital, its first priced funding round.
  • HIFI plans to use the capital to expand stablecoin payment products and infrastructure supporting tokenized capital markets, including Treasury and repo transactions.
  • The company said it is processing approximately $7 billion in annualized volume, as stablecoin payments and blockchain-based financial infrastructure continue expanding.

Stablecoin infrastructure company HIFI has raised $37 million in Series A funding as demand grows for financial infrastructure connecting stablecoins, traditional banking rails and tokenized markets.

The round was led by Left Lane Capital and represents HIFI’s first priced funding round, according to CEO Zach Walsh. The company did not disclose its valuation.

Walsh said HIFI is currently processing approximately $7 billion in annualized volume directly through its platform, highlighting the growing scale of infrastructure supporting stablecoin payments and blockchain-based financial transactions.

Stablecoin Payments Drive Infrastructure Demand

The funding comes as stablecoins continue gaining traction for payments and cross-border transfers despite weakness across the broader cryptocurrency market.

Chainalysis data cited by the company showed cross-border stablecoin flows increased 77.5% to $220.3 billion during the 12 months ending June 2026. The increase occurred while the broader crypto market contracted by more than one-third over the same period.

HIFI provides infrastructure designed to connect blockchain-based dollars with conventional financial systems. Its platform allows customers to move dollars into and out of stablecoins, distribute payouts through US banking rails and cards, and support settlement associated with tokenized financial transactions.

The company plans to use its latest financing to scale those capabilities.

HIFI Expands Into Tokenized Capital Markets

HIFI’s strategy extends beyond stablecoin payments into infrastructure for tokenized capital markets.

The company’s platform supports the cash side of tokenized repo and US Treasury transactions, allowing dollar settlement to take place alongside blockchain-based representations of financial assets.

Walsh said the financing will support the expansion of HIFI’s tokenized capital-markets infrastructure as well as its broader stablecoin payments product suite.

The move comes as established financial-market infrastructure providers increasingly experiment with tokenization.

In July, the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation conducted production trades involving tokenized securities across several market functions. These included US Treasury and repo settlement, equity transactions, securities lending and collateral workflows.

HIFI was among more than 30 participating companies, alongside financial institutions and market infrastructure firms including BlackRock, Goldman Sachs and Nasdaq.

Card Payouts Add Another Stablecoin Use Case

HIFI has also expanded its payment infrastructure into card-based payouts through Visa Direct.

Its platform allows customers to convert USDC and send the proceeds to eligible Visa debit and credit cards globally, providing another connection between blockchain-based dollar balances and conventional payment networks.

The development comes as Visa reports increasing activity involving stablecoin-linked payment products.

Visa said on September 9 that more than 160 stablecoin-linked card programs were live globally during its fiscal second quarter. Payment volume through those programs increased by nearly 200% year over year.

Visa also reported that stablecoin settlement volume had exceeded a $20 billion annualized run rate, more than 15 times its level a year earlier.

Traditional Finance Builds Around Tokenization

HIFI’s fundraising reflects a broader expansion of infrastructure designed to connect blockchain networks with traditional financial markets.

Banks, payment companies and market infrastructure providers are increasingly testing tokenized versions of assets such as US Treasurys, while stablecoins provide a blockchain-native mechanism for transferring dollar-denominated value.

For infrastructure providers such as HIFI, this creates demand for systems that can handle both sides of the transaction: blockchain-based assets and stablecoins on one side, and banking, card and settlement networks on the other.

The company’s participation in DTCC’s production tokenization work also places its infrastructure within experiments involving traditional securities-market workflows.

Outlook

HIFI’s $37 million funding round comes as stablecoins increasingly move beyond crypto trading into payments, cross-border transfers and financial-market settlement. The company’s strategy combines those payment applications with infrastructure for tokenized capital markets, positioning its platform around the connection between blockchain-based assets and traditional financial rails.

With approximately $7 billion in annualized volume already flowing through its platform, HIFI’s next phase will focus on expanding stablecoin payment capabilities while scaling infrastructure for tokenized Treasurys, repo transactions and other capital-market applications.
