SKN | XRP Price Outlook: Can the Token Hold $1.20 After Losing Nearly 19% in October?

Key Points:

  • XRP falls 18.7% in October: The token trades near $1.25 after declining from an October high of $1.555, with $37.6 million in liquidations recorded over 24 hours.
  • Spot XRP ETF demand slows: Combined fund assets declined from $1.70 billion on October 6 to $1.47 billion, while five October sessions recorded zero net inflows.
  • $1.20 becomes a critical technical level: A sustained daily close below this threshold could increase selling pressure, while the $1.20–$1.32 range represents the reported base-case scenario for November.

XRP is entering November under significant technical and demand pressure after losing approximately 18.7% of its value during October and falling to around $1.25. The decline has coincided with increased futures liquidations, weaker spot exchange-traded fund (ETF) inflows and a move below key moving averages, raising questions about whether the cryptocurrency can maintain its current support levels.

The latest market conditions suggest that investor confidence remains fragile. Although buyers have previously defended lower price levels, the combination of leveraged position closures and slower institutional fund inflows could make a sustained recovery more difficult. The $1.20 threshold is emerging as an important reference point for assessing XRP’s November performance.

Technical Weakness Raises the Risk of Further Declines

XRP traded near $1.25 after falling approximately 3.3% over the preceding 24 hours, according to the reported market data. The token reached an October high of $1.555 before reversing direction, leaving it down approximately 18.7% for the month.

Technical indicators reflect the deterioration in short-term momentum. XRP is trading below its 20-day moving average of $1.32 and its 50-day moving average of $1.40. These levels indicate that recent price performance has weakened relative to its previous trading trends.

The decline has also triggered substantial activity in derivatives markets. Approximately $37.6 million in XRP positions were liquidated over 24 hours. Forced liquidations occur when exchanges close leveraged positions after traders’ collateral becomes insufficient. During periods of falling prices, these closures can intensify selling pressure and increase volatility.

The $1.20 Support Level Could Shape November Trading

According to the reported forecast, XRP’s most likely November trading range is between $1.20 and $1.32. This scenario suggests a period of consolidation following October’s decline, provided buyers continue defending the lower end of the range.

However, a daily close below $1.20 could signal a deterioration in market structure and potentially trigger another wave of forced selling. The $1 level represents a deeper downside reference, particularly because XRP previously approached this threshold in August.

On August 16, 2026, XRP closed at a yearly low of $0.9927, with a reported market capitalization of approximately $62.22 billion. Buyers subsequently supported a recovery, with the token closing at $1.45 on August 21. This historical movement demonstrates that demand has previously emerged near $1, although it does not guarantee that the same support will hold during another decline.

At its current market capitalization of approximately $78.99 billion, XRP remains the fifth-largest cryptocurrency. Nevertheless, its price is still approximately 65.8% below its all-time high of $3.65, recorded on July 17, 2025.

Spot XRP ETF Inflows Show Signs of Weakening

Institutional fund activity provides another indication of changing market demand. Spot XRP ETFs recorded approximately $8.43 million in net inflows on October 29, bringing their combined assets to around $1.47 billion.

Despite that positive daily figure, the broader monthly trend has weakened. Five October trading sessions recorded zero net inflows, while the largest reported daily outflow reached $3.61 million on October 26. Total ETF assets have also declined from approximately $1.70 billion on October 6.

The reduction in assets reflects the combined effect of XRP’s falling market price and changes in fund holdings. It should not automatically be interpreted as equivalent to investor withdrawals, since the market value of ETF assets also changes with the underlying cryptocurrency’s price.

Looking ahead, XRP’s November trajectory will depend on whether buyers can defend the $1.20 area, derivatives liquidations moderate and ETF demand becomes more consistent. A recovery toward $1.32 would indicate improving short-term conditions, while a sustained break below $1.20 could expose the market to additional selling pressure. For institutional investors, the interaction between technical support, leveraged positioning and fund flows will remain central to assessing whether October’s weakness develops into a longer correction or gives way to consolidation.
