SKN | Trueo Plans Migration From Base to Ethereum for Broader Integration

Key Points

  • Prediction market platform Trueo plans to migrate from Base to Ethereum, citing greater integration potential and broader product opportunities.
  • Trueo said its next priorities after the migration will be attracting liquidity and launching the next generation of its oracle system for verifying real-world outcomes.
  • The platform initially chose Base because Ethereum mainnet fees were higher and parts of its product were still experimental, but now views Ethereum as a better fit for its longer-term objectives.

Trueo Moves From Base to Ethereum

Prediction market platform Trueo is preparing to migrate from Base to Ethereum, shifting its infrastructure toward the Ethereum mainnet as it seeks broader integrations and prepares to expand its oracle technology.

Trueo launched on Base in March 2025. The platform said the Layer 2 was appropriate during its early development because Ethereum mainnet transaction costs were higher at the time and several features of the application remained experimental.

The project now argues that Ethereum offers greater potential as Trueo moves toward a more broadly integrated prediction-market platform.

Integration Becomes a Central Consideration

Trueo said its decision is primarily driven by the potential for broader integrations.

According to the project, applications built on Base are able to integrate directly with the Base ecosystem, while deploying on Ethereum could provide access to a wider range of integrations across the network.

Trueo co-founder known as “Lumberg” described Ethereum as the preferred environment for the project’s vision of a neutral oracle and prediction-market infrastructure.

The project said its intended final form is a platform that is widely adopted, broadly integrated, permissionless, largely immutable and designed around credibility.

Oracle Development Moves to the Forefront

Following the migration, Trueo said its immediate priorities will include attracting additional liquidity and developing the next generation of its oracle system.

Oracles play a central role in prediction markets because they determine the real-world outcomes used to resolve contracts.

For Trueo, the migration is therefore tied not only to where its prediction markets operate but also to the infrastructure it plans to use for verifying outcomes.

The project said Ethereum provides what it considers a stronger foundation for building that system.

Base Was Chosen for the Early Product

Trueo’s move does not represent a rejection of its original Base strategy.

The project said Base was the appropriate choice when it launched because Ethereum mainnet gas costs remained elevated and some of Trueo’s application features were still being tested.

The shift reflects a change in the project’s priorities as it moves from an experimental product toward its longer-term infrastructure goals.

Trueo said the final platform is intended to operate with broad adoption and integration while maintaining permissionless access and a high degree of immutability.

Trueo Remains a Smaller Prediction Market

Despite its planned infrastructure migration, Trueo remains a relatively small player within the onchain prediction-market sector.

DefiLlama data cited in the source material ranked Trueo as the 14th-largest onchain prediction market, with approximately $795,687 in total value locked.

The migration to Ethereum therefore comes at an early stage of the platform’s development, with liquidity growth representing one of the project’s stated priorities following the move.

Outlook

Trueo’s planned migration from Base to Ethereum marks a shift in infrastructure strategy as the prediction-market platform moves toward its next stage of development. The project is placing greater emphasis on ecosystem-wide integrations, liquidity and a new oracle architecture rather than the lower-cost environment that supported its initial launch. The success of the transition will depend in part on Trueo’s ability to attract liquidity and build integrations while delivering the oracle infrastructure it considers central to its longer-term platform design.
